About

Cruickston Park is one of the last remaining private estates rooted in North America’s Golden Gilded Age of the 1800’s. Its built infrastructure can be traced to an even earlier time. Steeped in layers of refinement and raw beauty, this property not only holds an abundance of life experience by the people its touched, it has been revived and enlivened so that it can continue to reveal its stories.

Since 1792 Cruickston Park has been stewarded by four main families: The Dawson’s, the Ashton’s, the Wilks’, and the Chaplin’s - all sharing an intense passion for the welfare of the property that has guided it to present day. Since it is so significant on many levels, its current owners believe this property is meant to be shared with those who are open to a profound and fulsome experience. There is a certain timelessness about Cruickston Park that radiates, and while grandeur is apparent the take-away is really more about depth of knowledge, simplicity, and the role of nature in daily living. In many ways this property is an island onto its own as it was originally contemplated, and continues to be, a self-reliant entity with seasonal expression.

Cruickston Park offers short stays in its varied guest houses that include opportunities to sample the farm and gardens, to use as a backdrop for a special occasion, or to simply ‘be’ in the calm of nature.
