Article: Cruickston Park’s New Sauna Experience Arrives This September

This September 5th, a new way to unwind is arriving at Cruickston Park. Positioned into the landscape and designed to open fully to the outdoors, our new sauna will be ready just in time for late-summer evenings and the cool mornings of early fall.
It will be available exclusively to guests of The Trio — Trapper’s Cabin, The Stone Cottage, and The Stables — as part of their stay, with booking options for our other guest houses when space allows.

Immersed in Nature
With broad glass panels wrapping the corner of the sauna, the view becomes part of the experience. From the moment you step inside, you’re surrounded by the light, colour, and movement of Cruickston’s gardens, fields, and forest. Whether it’s the first frost sparkling on the grass or the deep green of midsummer, the scenery changes but the sense of stillness remains.

A Ritual of Restoration
Saunas have long been valued for the way they warm the body and calm the mind. Time inside can ease sore muscles after a day of walking our trails, encourage deeper sleep, and create the quiet space needed to let go of the day. The gentle heat boosts circulation, promotes skin health, and offers a natural, almost meditative reset.

Part of the Cruickston Experience
We designed this addition to fit seamlessly into life here — a place where you might sip tea on the bench, stretch slowly before a hike, or simply sit in silence watching the light change through the trees. It’s not just about warmth; it’s about deepening the connection to this place and giving guests one more way to enjoy its beauty year-round.
For guests of the Gatehouse, Hilltop House, or Cedar-Side House: The sauna can be added to your stay at the time of checkout as an online booking add-on. Or, simply send us an email to request a reservation.
Plan your visit now and be among the first to experience it. See list of accommodations.
